1953 Hungarian M44 Mosin Carbine (FÉG Budapest) Remarkable Mirror Bore 

This is a rare 1953 Hungarian 48.Minta (48M) Mosin-Nagant Carbine chambered in 7.62x54R. This rifle was manufactured at the famous FÉG factory in Budapest during the height of the Cold War.  

This is a premium quality Warsaw Pact variant, highly regarded by collectors for its superior fit and finish compared to standard Russian surplus. Every individual component on this rifle, including the stock, magazine and trigger mechanisms, bolt, bayonet, and small parts, retains the original Hungarian "02" factory country code stamp.

Condition:

Bore: Exceptional condition. This is a true "mirror bore" with crisp, perfect spiral rifling. Absolutely no pitting, rust, or dark spots down the barrel. It is an amazing shooter.

Stock & Finish: Original Hungarian wood stock with typical military handling marks. Includes a distinct "(1) 02" factory cartouche stamped near the buttplate. (See pictures)

Serial Numbers: The barrel shank and wooden stock match perfectly (BG 1543). The bolt is a smooth-cycling Hungarian replacement from the same year (BK 6385), and the magazine floorplate, also Hungarian, is ZX 466.
